Since 1932, Champion Credit Union has proudly served the communities in Western North Carolina. We believe in passionately impacting and supporting the communities that support us. Our Community CONNECT initiative is designed to connect you with the community you are a part of and provide education for financial topics that affect each of us. Through this initiative, our goal is simple - create awareness of your credit union membership and demonstrate its profound impact on your financial well-being while equipping you with the knowledge and resources you need to navigate and achieve your financial goals, all while experiencing more.

Being a member of a credit union means that you help us to passionately impact our community...
Continuing the principles of our cooperative founders, credit unions are called to extend service to the communities in which we are a part of. We reach out and try and help all we can. By being a member and borrowing money with us, we are able to reinvest that money back in the community in various ways.
We seek to contribute to local organizations and efforts that align with our mission. While all requests for support are considered, our areas of primary focus include:
- Financial Literacy,
- School Clubs and Organizations/Athletics, and
- Local Non-Profit Organizations.
Check out our Community CONNECT Calendar, your go-to resource for discovering where we'll be and find other happenings in the area.

Throughout the year you will find our team proudly volunteering their time to various organizations. We dedicate the second week of September each year to Community CONNECT Week, which is a full week of service in which we partner with several local non-profits, that allows everyone to get involved.
We are here to help you experience more, not only in banking, but also in the community.
Champion Credit Union has established scholarships to assist high school seniors within our field of membership to attend a community or university college. Click here to learn more about the Champion Credit Union/A. Roland Leatherwood Scholarships.
