With financial wellness being at the core of our mission, we offer a variety of resources and options to meet the needs of your classroom, civic group, or non-profit organization.
Branch Tours
Students always love a good field trip! With six locations across Western North Carolina, we can provide a fun, interactive tour of our office where we can discuss what it means to save and borrow money and how Champion Credit Union works to impact the communities that we serve. Email our Member Education Team to schedule a tour.
Speaking Engagements
Are you looking for subject matter experts to talk to your group about budgeting, credit scores, or ways to improve your financial health? Are your students asking for guidance on where to even begin? We are here for you. We are passionate about sharing ways to start your financial journey and about improving the path your financial journey is on. Email our Member Education Team to get started on a customized experience for your classroom or group.
Mad City Money
One of our favorite activities to bring to high school classrooms and beyond is Mad City Money, an interactive budgeting simulation where students take on a “new life” including a career, children, and debt! They are challenged to purchase a house, clothes, transportation, home goods and more to get a taste of real life.
As the host, we serve as "merchants" where students purchase their items, and sometimes return their items when the budget doesn't balance. Students are often surprised at how tough "real life" can be and surprised at how much fun they have with the event.
